Racing Lancer fight on Rally Dakar 2009
Rally Dakar 2009 no longer crosses the Sahara sand ocean in Africa but penetrated the tropical forest in South America. Mitsubishi –tim most successful in the history of Rally Paris Dakar- very serious prepared. Last week they announced the new vehicle to cross-country rally that was based on the Lancer sedan. His name was simple and pertinent, ‘Racing Lancer’. This car would debut first in 2008 FIA Cross-Country Rally World Cup (the Portalegre Steel) in Portugal late this coming October.
The site will become Medan the first test from this vehicle. Used the diesel engine turbo that has undergone the testing 8000mil (12,800km) and the limited competition. The diesel engine turbo this beforehand has been used by Pajero Evolution in such races like in Central Europe Rally, Rally Transiberico and the Espana Steel. Competed in speed rally very valuable to get the data that was not possible to be received from the testing then. Racing Lancer took the interior twice the session of the test during one week in Spain and Maroco to the end of last June, a month after being introduced. The team made use of his experience that was received from Pajero Evolution to speed up the development of this car. Racing Lancer will carry out the further test in Maroco late August and early September also in October. Respectively the session of the test took up time two weeks with the distance around 4000mil on the session.
